I Love Sprites is built and maintained by the I Love Sprites Team. We make browser tools for turning video into sprite sheets, packing texture atlases, splitting sheets, and resizing sprites for game projects.
How your files are processed
The video converter, atlas packer, sheet splitter, and sprite resizer process your source media in your browser. These tools do not upload the media you select to our servers. Video conversion loads FFmpeg in the browser; image tools use browser image and canvas processing.
The website still makes network requests to load its code, processing libraries, and examples. Analytics and information you submit through forms are separate from local media processing. Read our privacy policy for details.
Examples you can reproduce
Our worked examples use four original, numbered 64 × 64 frames. We publish the source files, settings, reference PNGs, and frame coordinates so you can repeat the process and inspect the result.
PNG and GIF fixtures are checked for lossless pixel round-trips. The MP4 example uses H.264 compression, so its decoded reference can differ in color from the original PNGs. Resizing examples compare whole-number nearest-neighbor scaling with smoothing.
Our engine starter projects list the engine versions and checks performed. Those checks cover the supplied examples; they are not a promise that every codec, browser, or engine configuration will behave identically.
Try a workflow or get in touch
Start with the MP4 and GIF to sprite sheet converter, pixel art sprite resizer, or step-by-step sprite workflow.
If a result differs from the guide, contact the I Love Sprites Team with your browser, settings, and steps to reproduce it. Only share source files you have permission to share.
