Sprite sheet starter projects

Take the same four numbered frames into Unity, Godot, or Phaser. Each small project includes the sheet, animation code, and instructions for replacing it with your own artwork.

Four numbered 64-pixel frames in a 128 by 128 sprite sheet
128 × 128 sheet · 2 columns × 2 rows · 64 × 64 frames · 10 FPS · 0.4-second loop.

Unity starter

Unzip, add the unity folder in Unity Hub, and open it with Unity 6000.4. Open Assets/Scenes/SpriteDemo.unity and press Play.

Four Sprite.Create regions, point filtering, uncompressed texture, and a 10 FPS animation script. Unity uses bottom-left rectangle coordinates; the script converts the top-left frame order.

Playback and frame regions checked with Unity 6000.4.0f1. See the included README for checks and reproduction commands.

AnimatedSprite2D with four AtlasTexture regions, nearest filtering, and a looping 10 FPS SpriteFrames animation.

Playback and frame regions checked with Godot 4.5.1. See the included README for checks and reproduction commands.

Phaser starter

Unzip, install Node.js, open a terminal in the phaser folder, run npm ci, then npm start. Open http://localhost:3200.

A uniform 64 × 64 spritesheet loader, four-frame animation at 10 FPS, and pixelArt rendering. Phaser is installed locally; the demo does not depend on a CDN.

Playback and frame regions checked with Phaser 3.90.0. See the included README for checks and reproduction commands.

Make the sheet yourself

Try the sample in the MP4 and GIF to sprite sheet converter. Use 10 FPS, 100% scale, four frames, a 2 × 2 grid, and zero padding. The starters use the lossless PNG reference; MP4 compression can alter colors.

For new artwork, keep the same dimensions or update each project’s frame size, row count, and frame count together. Use the nearest-neighbor sprite resizer for whole-number pixel art scaling.

Permission and scope

The original sample artwork and starter code may be used, modified, and redistributed for any purpose, including commercial projects, without attribution. Engine software and dependencies retain their own licenses. These examples show uniform grid imports, not irregular atlas metadata importers.
